Fortaleza: Brazil’s Internet connection point to the world!

Fortaleza is a Brazilian city receiving fiber optic cables that directly guarantee a fast Internet connection from Europe. From the capital of Ceará, the cables are extended to Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The reason for this is the proximity of the capital of Ceará to Europe, about 6,000 kilometers
According to the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), these cables that pass through Fortaleza are responsible for 99% of the country’s data traffic.

According to Anatel, if the submarine cables are broken, the country will go offline or have a slow Internet connection.
It is important to note that submarine optical transmission cables and transmission equipment are subject to ANATEL certification.
