Wi-Fi 7 is here as the newest wireless internet standard. From now on, routers and connected products that support the technology can take advantage of exclusive features, higher speeds, and greater efficiency than the current Wi-Fi 6E.
Access points with Wi-Fi 7 technology will be able to reach a “maximum potential data rate” of 5.8 Gbps. This figure is still a theory, but just getting close to this mark is impressive.
Compared to Wi-Fi 6 and 6E, which reach 2.4 Gbps, the speed could be up to 2.4 times higher. This makes it possible to “stream high-quality 8K videos or reduce the download of a large 15 GB file to around 25 seconds”.
In addition, Wi-Fi 7’s higher data rate promises to improve the experience when using virtual reality glasses.
Always remember that it is essential that all Access Points are duly approved by ANATEL.
