I am forwarding information from Anatel on the PUBLICATION OF ACT No. 13423/2022 (CELL PHONE CHARGERS).
Anatel’s announces the publication of Act No. 13423, of September 21, 2022, which amends the text of Act No. 5159, of April 8, 2022 (Technical Requirements and Test Procedures for Assessment of Conformity of Charger Used in Cellular Mobile Phone).
According to the new wording, Act 5159/2022 will enter into force 180 days after its publication, with the application of its requirements being mandatory 540 days after its publication.
TIMELINE:
Publication of Act 5159/2022: 04/29/2022
Entry into force of Act 5159/2022 (180 days after its publication): 10/26/2022
Mandatory mandate to apply the requirements of Act 5159/2022 (540 days after its publication): 10/21/2023
Revocation of Act 3481/2019 (current requirements) : 10/21/2023
Thus, from 10/26/2022 to 10/20/2023, applicants for approval of chargers will be able to choose between the requirements approved by Act 3481/2019 (current requirements) or by the requirement approved by Act 5159/2022 (new requirements).
