Ordinance No. 178 of 2022 – Revocation of Ordinance No. 111 on COVID

The new Ordinance No. 178 of April 11, 2022 was published, which revokes several ordinances, among them is Ordinance No. 111 of 2020, which establishes extraordinary conditions for carrying out conformity assessment activities during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic; To see it in its entirety click here.

The main points to highlight are:

1 – Ordinance No. 178/2022 enters into force on 05/02/2022;

2 – The deadline for postponing the audit is 3 months from the effective date of the ordinance, that is, 08/02/2022 and it must be completed by 11/02/2022;

3 – The deadline for the remote audit to be scheduled is 3 months from the effective date of the ordinance, that is, 08/02/2022; And the remote audit must be completed by 11/02/2022;

4 – From 6 (six) months from the effective date of this Ordinance, that is, 11/02/2022, the conformity assessment activities covered by Inmetro Ordinances No. 99, 2020, No. 111, 2020, No. 225, 2020, No. 377, 2020, and No. 357, 2021, now fully meet the requirements established by the RGCP, RGDF Products and RGDF Services, subject to the specific regulations of the object.
