We highlight the following one:
PUBLIC CONSULTATION No. 9, Proposal for Public Consultation to update technical electrical safety requirements for conformity assessment of telecommunication products. SEI No. 53500.068407/2021-01 –
Objective: Establish the electrical safety requirements, for purposes of Conformity Assessment and Homologation with the National Telecommunications Agency – Anatel, according to the scope defined in the following items.
The technical standards and regulations for the certification and approval of telecommunication products establish requirements and test procedures for the conformity assessment of telecommunication product types specified in the scope of mentioned regulations.
The rapid outdating of these standards, resulting from the constant technological innovation of the electronics sector, especially those related to the safety of users of telecommunications products, incurs the need to update and adapt to pressing issues related to the requirements and procedures established in the regulations in question.
In this vein, there is a need to review the technical requirements for electrical safety to assess the conformity of products for telecommunications, in order to timely monitor technological developments, both in relation to the requirements and the test methods to be adopted by the laboratories. The main objective of this review and update is to maintain the protection of users and the environments in which telecommunications products are used, in line with the regulatory practices adopted internationally.
This Public Consultation started in March 23rd, 2022 and the deadline for contribution is May 23rd, 2022 (61 days).
