ANATEL has published Resolution No. 780, which amends and includes items in the Regulation for Conformity Assessment and Approval of
Telecommunications Products, Resolution No. 715, of October 23, 2019.
The proposed changes do not impact the certification process; however, they bring greater clarity to the obligations, rules, and conduct of all stakeholders involved in the certification process.
The Resolution also includes the mandatory certification of data centers that are part of telecommunications networks. It is detailed that, before beginning operations, they must be assessed for compliance with the rules issued by Anatel, as determined in the operational procedure. The operational procedure must be published within 240 (two hundred and forty) days after this Resolution comes into effect.
Current data centers will have three (3) years after the operational procedure comes into effect to comply with the Agency's regulations.
